Pixel Pixel

In 2022, I started playing around with text as pixels that makes up an image via p5 or processing. (The American Visa project is an extension of this )

I enjoy the potential of the exercise, playing with the symbolism and underlining the message I want to send through a fairly obvious but humorous way. I wish to continue the project as the exercise.

Spam (Lite) print was created for a Spam exhibition curated by Shuang Cai at the end of  2023.

“Click for something to do”

A project for a computational poetry class I took at ITP, Reading and Writing Electronic Text by the wonderful Alison Parrish.

The interactive poem lives on the home page of my ITP project blog website. You will get a simple instruction for an activity given to you, or it refreshes every 30 minutes on its own.

For the genre study, my initial thought was the Fluxus movement’s instruction theory, where the art piece itself is a simple instruction of different kinds. The action itself was often considered to be a Fluxus performance.

I love instructions. Since the beginning of the class, I wanted to explore the option of Fluxus instructions as something to pursue in this class.
